Privacy policy
What this site collects, where it goes, and how to say no. Plain language where we can manage it. If anything here is unclear, call (773) 886-9178 and ask.

The short version
- We receive what you send us: the estimate form, a phone call, a text message or a message on Facebook. We use it to call or text you back, give you an estimate and do the job.
- We do not sell or rent your information, and no other contractor gets it.
- Measurement tools from Google and Meta, if we switch them on, load only after you press Accept on the banner. Decline, and their code never loads.
- Ask us, and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it or delete it.
Who we are
DS Superior Hardwood Flooring Inc., a hardwood flooring contractor working in Chicago and the suburbs. When this page says “we” or “us”, it means this company. You can reach us at (773) 886-9178.
What we collect, and how
The estimate form
Your name and phone number, and, if you fill them in, your email address, ZIP code, the kind of project, whether you prefer a call or a text, the best time to call, the approximate square footage, the number of stairs and your message. The form also notes which page of the site you sent it from.
How a form reaches us
In one of two ways, depending on how the site is set up at the time. Either the form opens your own email app with the request written out, and nothing is sent until you press Send there. Or the site sends it to our form service, Formspree, which delivers it to our email.
Calls and messages
If you call us or message us on Facebook, we have your number or profile and whatever you tell us, as with any business. Messages on Facebook are also covered by Facebook’s own privacy policy.
Measurement, only if you accept
If we switch on Google Analytics, the Google Ads tag or the Meta Pixel, a banner asks whether you accept them the first time you visit. Until you answer, and if you decline, none of them loads. If you press Accept, they receive the address of each page you open and the site that sent you, your IP address (from which they estimate a rough location), your device and browser type, taps on our phone number, our text link and our digital business card, and the fact that an estimate request was sent, not what you wrote in it. They set their own cookies for this, such as _ga, _gcl_au and _fbp.
What the site itself keeps in your browser
Only your answer to that banner. The fonts and scripts of this site come from this site, so opening a page does not contact Google or anyone else unless you accept measurement. The cookie page lists every item and how long it stays.
Server logs
Like every web host, ours keeps standard logs of requests (IP address, page, browser, time) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
To call or text you back, set a time for the walkthrough, prepare your estimate, do the work, and follow up about that job. We do not use your number for marketing calls or texts.
Who else sees it
- Our form service and email provider, which carry your request to us.
- Our web host, which serves the site and keeps the logs above.
- Google and Meta, only if you pressed Accept on the banner, and only what is listed above.
- Anyone the law requires us to share with, such as a court order.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not pass it to other contractors.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it for your job, our records and any warranty questions, then we delete it. A request that never became a job is deleted once it is clearly over.
Your choices
- Call (773) 886-9178 to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.
- Decline the banner, or change your answer later with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. The cookie page explains each choice.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as Decline.
Children
This site is for homeowners. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this page
